It's the closest thing I've found to Chicago style pizza in the city of Houston! So far we've just gotten take-out but the dining room is usually full & they have live music. The take-out is consistently good & the staff is very friendly!

I really thought I'd never be able to find an Italian Beef in Houston and be relegated to a once-a-year indulgence shoved into our annual Christmas visit. I was actually giddy eating that sandwich. It's legit; they know their stuff. The bread is Gonnella. The beef came with sweet peppers and there's a serve yourself bin of giardiniera! The juice is incredible. We got a pizza to go the other night and it is the closest thing to back home we've found in Houston (good cheese makes a huge difference) The place looks, feels, and smells like Chicago. According to my friend from Chicago this was the closest thing to Chicago deep dish pizza and we have tried some of the other offerings (he said those took him home too). I will echo some of the other comments about calling in your deep dish order before you show up. The pizza is the size of a pie so it takes about 45 minutes to cook. I ordered online and that wasn't the correct way, it still took about 45 minutes before the pizza was ready. The server suggested always ordering by phone, they don't have anchovies on the website but they might when you call it in.

Great pizza! Every bite was great. All ingredients tasted fresh, the sauce had great flavor and the crust was great. I'm not even a crust eating type, but I down it like it was a piece of chicken, LOL!
I definitely will add this spot into my go-to pizza spot!

My best friend, who grew up near Chicago, always whines about the lack of real Chicago-style food in Houston. This is his go-to place for hot dogs, so he brought me here promising it would be the real deal. I'm a native Houstonian so I'm not as picky about my dogs, but this place was pretty good. We both got the Chicago-style hot dog. It was flavorful, served on a soft poppyseed bun, and the veggies on top were plentiful and fresh. Fries were pretty good too. The hot dog, fries and a drink only set me back about $7, so my wallet was happy. This place has counter service and is a pretty casual "no-frills" type of place. I can't wait to come back and try the pizza and gyros!

This a great little dive I found while exploring the heights! We ventured in for a late lunch and there was a light crowd. Customer service was great and the sandwich was delicious! My friend and I got the combo sandwich (Italian Beef and Sausage) with fries! I got the au jus on the side instead of dipped (will try dipped next time). It was excellent! Huge portion and the fries were cooked perfectly. I probably should have taken half of it home but I couldn't stop eating! Don't forget to top it with the veggie mix of jalapenos, carrots, onions and cauliflower located at the end of the counter.
I will definitely be back.

The deep dish pizza here is really good. Def give them five stars. They are slightly behind star pizza and dmarcos but really good in their own right. Will def go back. They are so much better than over priced Gino's east. I had the deep dish meat pizza. So cheesy and full of pizza goodness. If you crave good pizza give these guys a shot.
